The success of our STI prevention strategy depends not only on the commitment of members to remain STI-free, but also on the cooperation of clinics where members are tested and screened for sexually transmitted infections.

Clinics and Test Sites

Sexual health clinics are the best at screening their clients for STI because that's their job. However, people can get tested at a number of other sites including a family doctor. This website will refer to Clinic as the general term for test sites.

Joining forces

Clinics with a valid online presence are encouraged to partner with SafestSex.org in order to help their clients/our members remain STI free. Clinics are never required to disclose confidential client information and can join forces with SafestSex.org through a simple registration process. Through validating our member’s test and screening results, clinics provide the opportunity for members to lower their risk of STI to the level found in mutually monogamous relationships.

Certified STI-free?

Many people take on the responsibility of getting tested for STI. However, how do they convince potential partners that they have been tested and are, in fact, STI-free?

What is an SSXID?

An SSXID (Safest Sex eXchange ID) is a non-descriptive code assigned to members of SafestSex.org

Beyond Mutual Monogamy

The CDC lists Mutual Monogamy as a highly effective Risk Reduction Tool. With the help of partnering clinics, SafestSex.org offers members the opportunity to enjoy a low risk of STI as found in a monogamous relationship.

Proof of a STI-Free Status

Up until now, convincing potential partners of a STI-free status was next to impossible. With the help of “Partnering Clinics,” members are now able to avoid this frustration and produce a higher level of proof. Once a clinic has partnered with SafestSex.org, a member can then associate themselves with such a clinic and become an " “Associate Member”. This level of membership allows for improved reliability of test results and increased trust regarding a member’s STI-free status.

What is an SSXID?

An SSXID is a unique 9-character code that allows the connection between a client of a clinic and a SafestSex.org member. An SSXID is an unidentifiable code that is randomly generated and assigned to SafestSex.org members.

Once this code is shared with a clinic by a client/member, it allows for the connection between that client (their test results) and their SafestSex.org membership.

Mutual Monogamy on Steroids

Mutual Monogamy is the best STI prevention strategy for sexual active individuals because it isolates two STI-free people from potential infections. SafestSex.org members can choose this strategy and then take it beyond the conventional boundary of the two person relationship.

With the participation of partnering clinics, SafestSex.org offers its Exclusive Members the opportunity to engage in sexual relations with other Exclusive Members only. With clinic-verified test results, these members are part of a “bubble” in which the risk of STI is equivalent to that found in a monogamous relationship.

Clinics (Testing Sites)

All members can associate Clinics to specific test results because that information enhances the reliability of the test results. Clinics can be:

·       Verified

·       Partnered

Unverified Clinic

Members can request SafestSex.org to save the information about the Clinic used to perform the tests.

Verified Clinic

Once the existence of a Clinic provided by a member is confirmed, the Clinic becomes a Verified Clinic.

Partnered Clinic

Members can request that a Clinic partner with SafestSex.org. When a Clinic becomes a Partnered Clinic, they are issued access to SafestSex.org as a Partner through http://safestsex.org/TFlogin-en.php.

Many Clinics assume that as a partner they must release their information regarding members’ tests, thus breaking their promise of confidentiality. As mentioned above this is not the case. Safestsex.org ONLY uses the member’s SSXID and never requires Clinics to release any test information.
