These are the STI list we care about. You can click on each of them for more information :
With one in two people contracting an STI by the age of 25, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that nearly 20 million new STIs occur every year in the United States alone and that only about 12% of sexually active young people were tested last year! Of course getting tested at any age is important so ask your doctor or visit your local sexual health clinic to find out more.
HIV is a chronic infection, but there are drugs for prevention (PrEP) and AntiRetroviral Therapy (ART) for HIV+ people.
These are the available options for our system based on your last test results:
Syphilis is a highly contagious disease spread primarily by sexual activity, including oral and anal sex. Once a person is infected and antibodies develop, they remain in the blood for life.
Whether someone had Syphilis in the past or not should not be a concern for a potential sexual partner. What's important is that a recent test reveals no new infection. We do not keep positive records for curable diseases like Syphilis.
Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease (STD) that can infect both men and women. It can cause infections in the genitals, rectum, and throat. It is a very common infection, especially among young people ages 15-24 years.
You should wait seven days after finishing all medications before having sex and if possible a recent test reveals no new infection. We do not keep positive records for curable diseases like Gonorrhea.
Chlamydia is a bacterial infection. Most people who are infected have no symptoms. When symptoms do develop this can take a few weeks following infection to occur. We do not keep positive records for curable diseases like Chlamydia.
Hepatitis B is an infectious disease caused by the hepatitis B virus (HBV) that affects the liver. Vaccines for the prevention of hepatitis B are routinely recommended. The presence of anti-HBs is generally interpreted as indicating recovery and immunity from HBV infection.
We do not keep positive records for curable diseases like Gonorrhea.Hepatitis C is a liver disease caused by the hepatitis C virus: the virus can cause both acute and chronic hepatitis, ranging in severity from a mild illness lasting a few weeks to a serious, lifelong illness.
Although there is no cure for herpes, treatments can relieve the symptoms.
We know you like to have a nice time with others, but unfortunately we have to protect ourselves. It is not a long text , but we suggest you should read it carefully
